Our commitment to the UN SDGs


The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are 17 interconnected goals that provide a shared framework for improving lives, protecting the planet and promoting prosperity worldwide. Adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, they form the foundation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. 

, committing to embed the goals across all areas of university life and report annually on our progress. Today, the SDGs shape our teaching, research, partnerships and wider institutional activity.

This commitment is reflected in initiatives such as Future17, the Sustainable Development Goals Challenge Programme. Delivered in partnership with QS, Future17 brings together students from across the six continents to work with global organisations on solutions that address real-world sustainability challenges.

In the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2025, Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓÆµ was placed among the top 30 universities globally and within the top two per cent of institutions assessed. The rankings measure the performance of over 2,300 universities against the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Our work focuses on three interconnected priorities:
